Affirm Login: How To Make Your Payments On affirm.com

Affirm offers buy now, pay later payment plans for online and in-store purchases when you shop at select partners, including Amazon, Walmart, Nordstrom, Nike, Best Buy and more. However, the Affirm Login portal allows you to make a payment on affirm.com, update your notification preferences, update my income, update your address and lots more.

Read our free downloadable guide carefully and completely. It contains important information that should answer most of your questions about accessing and managing your Affirm account online. Keep in mind, though, that like this website, it only gives general information. It is not the law. It is not a regulation. It is not legal advice.

What is Affirm?

Affirm is the smartest way to pay over time. Shop pretty much anywhere and pay at your own pace without any fees, so you can get the things you love without breaking your budget.

Affirm strives to keep you out of unhealthy debt by facilitating fair, transparent credit so you can pay over time for the things you love. They offer affordable monthly payments at a pace you choose—usually 3, 6, or 12 months—so you’re in control. From day one, you know how long you’ll pay, and you know how much you’ll pay because they never charge late fees or other hidden fees.

Affirm don’t charge any fees. That means no late fees, no prepayment fees, no annual fees, and no fees to open or close your account. Your APR may be different depending on your creditworthiness and where you are shopping. The exact terms that apply to your purchase will be given when you check out with Affirm.

Affirm Products

1: Installments over 3, 6, or 12 months: At partner stores, you can choose Affirm as a payment method during checkout and seamlessly apply for a loan to pay for your items right then. You can choose to spread your payments out, typically over 3, 6, or 12 months (or more), to pay for your purchase with manageable payments that work with your budget.

2: 4 interest-free payments: Depending on the merchant and your order value, you can make 4 equal payments, every two weeks, so you pay your purchases off quickly with no impact on your credit.

3: Virtual card: To pay with Affirm at other merchants, you can apply for a loan at affirm.com or in the Affirm app, and you’ll get a virtual card you can use at most stores, both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. It works like a credit card—just choose to pay by credit card at checkout, then enter your virtual card number.

4: Affirm Savings account: Affirm also works with Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, to provide interest-bearing savings accounts with no minimum deposit requirements and no fees. After you securely link your bank account to your Affirm savings, you can transfer money into your account. However, you may not make more than six withdrawals or transfers from your account during any monthly statement cycle.

How To Create Affirm Account

You can sign up at a partner store, at affirm.com, or in Affirm app. When you sign up at a partner store, you automatically find out if you’re eligible to make a purchase with Affirm. This extra step doesn’t affect your credit score.

You need a mobile phone number from the US or US territories. This helps Affirm verify it’s really you who is creating your account and signing in. When you create your account, Affirm will ask for your mobile number. Each time you sign in, you’ll enter your number, and Affirm will text you a verification code. Please note that Affirm will never call, email, or text to request your verification code so never share it with anyone else.

These instructions are for signing in using your mobile number. (If you have a passcode, fingerprint, or facial recognition set up, simply open the Affirm app and sign in with it).

Affirm Login Steps
  1. Go to affirm.com or open the Affirm app, then click or tap Sign in.
  2. Enter the mobile number you used to create your account, then click Continue or tap Confirm.
  3. Enter the 4-digit code we texted to that mobile number.

Set up a passcode, your fingerprint, or face ID

Using a passcode, or your fingerprint or facial recognition (on devices that support them) makes signing in to the Affirm app faster and more secure (these sign-in methods aren’t available at affirm.com). If you don’t have a passcode, you’ll be prompted to set one up during the normal sign-in process. Or, you can always set up a passcode later in your account.

  1. Sign in to the Affirm app, then tap Profile at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Set up a passcode, type your passcode, then re-enter it to confirm. (Tip: You can reset your passcode if you forget it, but it’s a good idea to write it down somewhere secure.)
  3. To use your fingerprint or facial recognition instead of a passcode, tap the link to set it up when prompted, then follow the onscreen instructions.

To change or disable your passcode, tap Profile, then tap Edit or disable your passcode and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you forgot your passcode

  1. On the passcode screen, tap Forgot?, then enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your passcode.

If you can’t sign in

If you’re having trouble signing in for some reason—maybe you forgot the phone number associated with your account, for example—they’ll do what they can to help. Go to this help article, and submit the form at the bottom. They’ll get back to you as soon as they can.
