Chase Reset Password Requirements
Chase has a few security requirements for updating or resetting your username and password.
- At least 8 characters
- At least 2 of the following:
- 1 letter (case sensitive)
- 1 number
- 1 of these special characters: @ ! # $ % + / = ~
- No more than 2 identical or sequential characters (ex: 111, aaa, 123, abc, !!!)
- Must be different from your previous five passwords
- Must not match your User ID
- Must not use the name of the financial institution (ex: JPM, MORGAN, CHASE)
- Must not be a commonly used password (ex: password1)

Chase Reset Password Steps
To reset your chase account password, you’ll need to provide your Social Security number or tax ID number to identify yourself, as well as your account type. Once you go through the process, Chase will assist you in finding your username or resetting your password so you’re ready for convenient online banking again.

At the sign in screen, choose Forgot Username/Password and follow the instructions. If you’re still unable to sign in, please call them at the number on the back of your card.
However, you can change your personal details, including your chase.com username, password, and more by choosing Profile & Settings.

Chase Reset Password FAQs
1: What if I don’t have a Social Security number? If you don’t have a Social Security number, they can verify your identity and your accounts based on your date of birth. When you close this screen, choose “Don’t have a Social Security number?” and tell them your date of birth.
2: What if I’m an authorized user on another account? If you have access to the account, choose “Are you an authorized user on another account?” They’ll confirm your identity using your email and security code.
If you’re not an authorized user, you’ll need to contact the account owner to request online access.
3: What if I have a Tax Identification number instead? If you have a Tax Identification number (TIN), they can verify your identity for any business accounts you have. When you close this screen, tell them your TIN to continue.
4: What if I have more than 1 account? If you have more than 1 account, you only need to choose 1 of them. You’ll see all other available accounts when you sign in using your new username and password.
5: What is a security code? If you’re an authorized user on another account, you created a security code when you enrolled. When you call them, they’ll ask for your code to confirm your identity. They’ll never call and ask for it.

6: What should I do if I don’t have any Chase accounts, but am having issues signing into Credit Journey? If you only use Credit Journey, please call 1-800-935-9935 for help.
7: What if I don’t have a Chase account and don’t use Credit Journey? Unfortunately, they can’t reset your password. To continue using our services and features, please create a new profile.
