How To Create a Customer Portal Account
In order to manage your Credit Acceptance account online, you have to log in to your online account. The Credit Acceptance login step is very simple. You must have your username and password to access your online account. Those who don’t have their login credentials, have to register first by following the below steps.



- Hover your cursor over Account Sign In, then click “Sign up now“
- Choose your role (Customer or Authorized 3rd Party)
- Enter your Account Number and the last 4 digits of your SSN
- Click Enroll
- Enter your Personal Email Address, and Phone Number, then click Next
- Review and accept the Terms of Use and the Terms and Conditions
Scrolling to the end of the Terms of Use, and Terms and Conditions is required before the customer can agree to the terms. Until the customer scrolls to the end of the Terms, the I Agree and Accept and Create buttons will be grayed out and unable to be clicked.
- Click I Agree to the Terms of Use, and click Accept & Create Account to the Terms and Conditions.
Note: Clicking Accept and Create Account will trigger a verification email to be sent to your email account. You will need to verify your email address. Access your email and open the confirmation email sent to you.
- Wait for the auto-click functionality to advance past the Email Address Verification screen. If the screen pauses, you can click Continue to advance to the next screen.
Note: Once the validation is complete, the Create New Password screen will appear.

Important Information about Late Fees – If the payment due is not made prior to the payment posting cut-off time on the day when the late fee grace period expires, a late fee may be assessed. If a late fee is assessed, it will be posted on the same day after the payment posting cut-off time. The payment posting cut-off time varies by payment type. Please see below to learn the payment posting cut-off time for each payment type. Please refer to your contract for the amount of your late fee and the length of your late fee grace period.
No fee payment methods
1: Online: Automatic Payments: Debit/ATM Card, Checking, or Savings Account. NOTE: Credit cards are not accepted. Follow the steps below to make your online payment.
- Log in to the Customer Portal at https://customer.creditacceptance.com/login
- Click “Enroll in AutoPay” on the Portal’s home page.
- Follow the instructions to setup AutoPay.
Payments will post according to the schedule established by the customer. Changes to recurring payments need to be made one day prior to the next scheduled payment date. Payments are processed 7 days a week and also on holidays. Recurring payments can be established or modified 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and on holidays.
2: Mail: Check or Money Order via U.S. Post Office. Include your payment coupon and Credit Acceptance account number on your check or money order. Do not send cash. Do not send correspondence other than your coupon.

Payments are posted the same business day if received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Payments received after business hours will be processed the next business day. It’s recommended that you mail payments 7 days before the due date.

Payments sent directly to Credit Acceptance instead of the P.O. Box generally take longer to reach them. Payments received directly at Credit Acceptance will be posted the same business day if received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
3: In person: Check or Money Order. Leave your check or money order payment in the drop box in front of Credit Acceptance headquarters, located at 25505 West 12 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan. Do not leave cash in the drop box. Include your account number written on your check or money order.
Payments are posted the same business day if received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
4: Phone: Automatic Payments: Talk to a Credit Acceptance Representative to set up automatic payments with a Debit/ATM Card, Checking, or Savings Account. NOTE: Credit cards are not accepted.
