Ways To Pay Your Halifax Credit Card Bill

You’ll find your credit card balance on your monthly statement.

You can either pay the full balance or part of it, but you must make at least the minimum payment shown on the statement. It’s always better to pay more because the quicker you pay off your balance the less interest you’re likely to be charged. There are a number of ways to pay your bill – find the one that suits you so you never miss a payment.

1: Direct Debit

For one less thing to worry about each month, we recommend you set up a Direct Debit to automatically pay your credit card account by the due date.

Choose from three options:

  • Full payment: clears the total balance on your monthly statement.
  • Minimum payment: collects the minimum payment on your monthly statement. If you only make a minimum payment every month, it will take you longer to pay off your balance.
  • Fixed amount or percentage: pays a fixed amount or percentage of your balance each month. We’ll always collect at least the minimum payment.

To set up a Direct Debit, sign in to or register for Online Banking and select the ‘Pay credit card’ button. This service isn’t available on mobile at the moment.

Or call 0345 944 4555 (Mon-Sun, 7am – 11pm).
