How To Make a Santander Car Payment

Santander uses what it calls “simple interest loan contracts.” Interest on these contracts accrues daily and follows a monthly payment schedule. There is no penalty for making your Santander Car payment early. In fact, if you make early payments on your Santander auto loan, you will accrue less interest and be able to pay off your contract sooner. However, if you miss any car payments, your interest rates can go up.

Payments are required to be made by the due date listed in your contract. Interest charges (which accrue each day) and, if applicable, late fees may be applied to your account when it is past due, in accordance with your contract and applicable state law. You can pay your Santander Car loan Online Using Debit Card or Using ACH. Making a debit card payment online using ACI Pay Money Transfer service is simple and fast. Use your Debit Card to make a payment online that will post the same date it’s made. Also, Making a one-time ACH payment online is fast, easy and FREE. Use your checking or savings account to make a payment.

However, to access your account and make your Santander Car Payment Online for the first time, you will need to register for online access in order to manage your Santander Car account online. You can register via the Finance homepage by selecting the ‘Sign Up for Online Access‘ link from within the ‘Santander Car login Portals’ section. Then enter your details, create your password and complete the security questions.

Step 1: Visit the Santander Car login page:

Step 2: Upon reaching the Santander Car login page, provide your Username followed by your password in the blank spaces below and then press “Sign In”. If the particulars entered are correct you will also be taken to your account dashboard.

Once logged in, you can view your account summary, make your Santander Car payments, and update your profile information. You can also activate paperless statements and set up autopay to have your monthly statement automatically paid each month from a checking or savings account.

If there have been multiple unsuccessful attempts to sign into your account, they will temporarily suspend your online account access for your security. You will need to enter your email or username for them to send you an email with a link to change your password.

How To Make Your Santander Car Payment Via Auto Pay

Auto Pay i’s smart, it’s FREE, and it’s easy! You have plenty of other things to worry about, so let Santander handle your vehicle payment. Sign up today for Auto Pay and your monthly payments will be automatically deducted from your personal checking or savings account and credited to your account by the payment due date.

If you are unable to enroll online then you can Complete the Auto Pay enrollment form and fax it toll-free to (800) 417-0251. Once your Auto Pay enrollment has been accepted, your account will be updated to reflect Auto Pay participation in approximately five to seven business days.

You may cancel this authorization by contacting Santander Consumer USA orally or in writing and said cancellation shall be effective three (3) business days after Santander Consumer USA’s receipt of the request.

How To Make Your Santander Car Payment by Phone

Please be aware Santander are no longer able to accept payments via an agent. Please use one of their self-service options. Paying through our interactive voice system is FREE with a checking/savings account, but a fee may apply to payments made using a debit card.

Santander Consumer USA Inc. accepts payments from personal checking or savings accounts via their interactive telephone system. Simply call them toll-free at (888) 222-4227 and have your account number and your checking or savings account information ready when you call. You will need to provide your bank’s routing number, your account number, and a check number for tracking purposes. (All this information can be found at the bottom of your personal check.)

These payments generally post to your account the same day they are recorded, though it is common for a bank to take 24 to 48 hours to debit the payment from your account. Please make sure that any funds you commit to paying via check or savings account by phone remain in the account until the transaction has been completed.

How To Make Your Santander Car Payment by Mail

If you wish to pay with a personal check, cashier’s check or money order via regular mail, please make the payment payable to Santander Consumer USA and send it to the address listed on the pay stub attached to the bottom of your monthly statement:

Santander accept mailed money orders, cashier’s checks and personal checks. They do not accept credit cards, third-party checks, title-stipulated drafts, checks with restrictive endorsement, checks issued by a foreign bank or cash.

Your monthly statement includes a payment stub complete with correct mail-to address, amount due and your account information. For prompt and accurate processing of your payment, please make your payment payable to Santander Consumer USA, write your 7-digit account number on your check and return it with your payment stub in the envelope provided with your statement.

Please note that it takes seven to ten days for a payment to process via mail. For this reason, it is inadvisable to send a late payment via regular mail. If your payment due date is fast approaching, or a holiday or weekend is near, you may want to consider one of the alternate payment options described in the Make a Payment section of this Web site.

All mailed payments, including overnight and certified payments, generally post to your account within three business days after the payment is received.
