What You Should Know LightStream Loan
LightStream is the online consumer lending division of Truist, which formed in 2019 from the merger of BB&T and SunTrust. SunTrust acquired the assets of online lender FirstAgain in 2012 and relaunched the business as LightStream.
LightStream offers a unique lending solution that allows customers with strong credit to borrow funds for purchases that had previously required collateral, or that fall into categories where few or no loan options exist. With fixed competitive rates and flexible terms, a LightStream loan for $5,000 to $100,000 can be delivered directly to a borrower’s bank account, often as soon as the same day. There are no fees or charges, nor penalties for early payment.
Among its many consumer-friendly features, LightStream allows borrowers to choose when they receive their money. It can deposit funds into your account as early as the same day or up to 30 days after approval. Scheduling a later fund date can allow time to plan for your first payment or give you flexibility in aligning your loan with the start of a home improvement project or other large expense.
LightStream is best for borrowers who:
- Have good or excellent credit (690 FICO or higher) and several years of credit history.
- Are considering a personal loan for home improvement.
- Want a large loan at a competitive rate.
