In Step 1

• Below Select account type, select Personal Accounts
• In the next page, enter your account number or card number to verify your identity.
• Select Mortgage from the Existing M&T Account drop down menu, then enter your mortgage account number, social security number and date of birth
• Click the continue button.

In Step 2

• Complete all fields to set up your user profile
• Select Next

In Step 3

• Review your enrollment details
• Select Next if everything is correct
• Select Back, if you need to change any of the information

In Step 4

• Check both boxes to provide your consent to use M&T Online Bank
• Select Accept and Submit

M&T Mortgage Login Steps

Now that you have created online account or if you already have an online account its time to log in to your account. When you log in to your account you will have the access to;

• Obtain up-to-date payoff information
• Request a loan amortization schedule which can be viewed online
• Review and order loan documents – including your property appraisal and surveyDisclosure number.
• View principal balance, interest rate and a breakdown of your mortgage payment
• Get escrow account information, including your current escrow account balance, scheduled tax and insurance payments, and information on mortgage insurance
• Review tax and mortgage interest information including taxes and interest paid last year
• See loan activity for up to 24 months or 50 transactions
• Sign up for Automatic Payment for your M&T mortgage to be paid via automatic withdrawal from your savings or checking account
• Make one-time mortgage payments
• Make changes to your email address, password, telephone and fax numbers.

• The first step is to go the M&T online banking login page: https://onlinebanking.mtb.com/
• Enter your user ID and passcode and click on Log In as you can see in the image above.

1: Enroll in automatic payment deduction.

You’ll need:

• Your bank routing number
• The bank account number from where you’d like the funds deducted to make your payment

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to M&T Online Banking. If you don’t yet have an online banking account, you can enroll now
2. Select your mortgage account from the Account Summary page
3. Click the “View My Mortgage Info” button
4. Click on the “Enroll in Autopay” option in the top right corner of the Payment Information box on your Dashboard. 

2: Pay Online using M&T Online Banking

Enjoy the peace of mind knowing that you will get credit for your payment the same day it’s submitted, even though the funds aren’t deducted from your bank account for 24-48 hours. Plus, you can specify exactly how the money is applied.

You’ll need:

• Your M&T Mortgage account number
• Your bank routing number (if this is your first time paying online)
• The bank account number from where you’d like the funds deducted to make your payment

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to M&T Online Banking. If you don’t yet have an M&T online banking account, you can enroll now.
2. Select your mortgage account from the Account Summary page
3. Click the “Make a Payment” button and follow the prompts

Note: you do not need an M&T Bank checking or savings account to make an online payment–you can use a checking or savings account at any financial institution. If you are already enrolled in M&T Online Banking, click the ‘Make an Online Payment’ button above.

3: Pay by phone.

Call 1-866-241-6014 to use their automated payment processing system.

You’ll need:

• Your mortgage account number
• Your bank routing number
• The bank account number from where you’d like the funds deducted to make your payment (They do not accept credit or debit cards)

4: Pay by mail.

Mail your payment to:

P.O. Box 62182
Baltimore, MD 21264-2182

Please include:

• Your mortgage payment coupon
• A check made out to M&T Bank with your M&T mortgage account number written on it

4: Pay at an M&T branch.

Visit their branch locator to find an M&T branch near you.

Please bring:

• Your mortgage payment coupon

Make your payment before the grace period ends.

If your grace period ends on a weekend or holiday, you have until the next business day to make a payment and avoid a late fee.
