Progressive Credit Union is a full-service financial co-operative located in Central and Western New Brunswick with over 7,000 members and over $100 million in assets under direct and indirect administration. While PCU was formed as the result of a merger in 2010, its roots go back to 1938 when one of the original credit unions was founded.
Today, Progressive Credit Union has three branches located in Fredericton, Woodstock and Centreville, NB. That being said, Progressive Credit Union are connected globally in order to provide their members with access to their accounts everywhere they go. As a Credit Union, thry are owned and controlled by the people who do business with them.
This means that they are community based and community focused. They have a commitment to providing the best possible financial guidance to our members and are equally committed to supporting their communities to the best of their abilities. In the past year alone, they supported more than 40 service organizations in their areas. Surpluses are either reinvested in their organization or are shared with their members.
Progressive Credit Union now has seven branches across north Dublin and employs over 50 staff. It is governed by 11 directors and three individuals on the Board Oversight Committee. Their Common bond covers the following locations and surrounding areas Baldoyle, Clontarf Donabate, East Wall, Glasnevin, Howth-Sutton, Portmarnock, Rush-Lusk, Skerries, Swords Rivervalley, and the greater Balbriggan area including as far as Naul and Stamullen in Co. Meath.

2: How long should I be saving for before I can apply for a loan? There is no specific time you need to be saving before you can apply for a loan. As all loan decisions are based on your ability to repay, your savings balance is not the only factor considered.
3: Is my loan insured? Yes, for eligible members your loan is covered by insurance at no extra cost – up to 85 years of age and subject to health declaration.(See loan protection for more information).
