How To Get Started With The Virgin Credit Card App
Check you’ve got a phone signal before you start, as they’ll send you a text message as part of the registration process.
Before you start they’ll need:
- Your surname and date of birth
- Your long card number and last 3 digits on the back
- Your mobile number
To register on the app, follow these four simple steps:
1. Search for the Virgin Money Credit Card app, from the App Store or Google Play, and hit install.
2. Fill in your surname, date of birth and credit card number
3. Set up your security and create a username and six-digit passcode
4. Enter your activation code (you’ll receive this when you have set up your username and passcode). They’ll need your mobile number to be able to do this – if they don’t have it, please let them know.
When that’s done, you’re good to go. If you want, you can also set up face or fingerprint ID.
If you have more than one credit card account, you can now add all of your cards in the app. Simply log in and select the ‘Card’ menu, scroll down and select ‘+ Add another card’ and follow the instructions. You will need your other card(s) handy.

- To check if your card is active, go to the summary screen in the app.
- There will be an option to activate your card here if your card is not yet active.
- If there is no option to activate, check the ‘Card’ screen.

How To Make A Virgin Credit Card Payment
Virgin Money Credit Card app is the quickest and easiest way to manage your account. Not registered? You can download it via the App Store or Google Play, just search for Virgin Money Credit Card.
Here are the payment options available:
1: Direct Debit: You can make payments by Direct Debit on a monthly basis, the Direct Debit will collect on your monthly due date. You have the option to pay the minimum payment, a regular fixed payment or the full statement balance. Please remember your Direct Debit will be collected regardless of any additional payments made. You can set up or amend a Direct Debit in the mobile app.
Please Note if a statement has already been produced and you set up a Direct Debit online, the Direct Debit will not take effect until the following month.
2: Debit Card: You can make a one-off debit card payment via the app, by choosing ‘Payments’ from the menu, then ‘Pay by debit card’ and following the instructions on screen. If you would prefer to make a payment by debit card over the phone, contact them to use their automated phone service. To select the link, please double click or hold down the underlined text, then follow the instructions.
Please make payments at least three business days before payments are due. Your payment will be applied to your account the next business day. Business days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, except for bank holidays or public holidays.
3: Transfer money from your bank account: To make an electronic payment you will need to use sort code 40-64-25, bank account number 41320424 and quote your 16 digit Virgin Money or Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Number as the payment reference. If the payment is made by Faster Payment the money will be added to your account within two hours of receipt of the payment.
4: By Post: To make a payment by post, please send a cheque payable to ‘Virgin Money’ and include your 16-digit Virgin Money or Virgin Atlantic Credit Card number in the payee line. Write your full name and address on the back of the cheque and send it to: VM Credit Card Payments, PO Box 492, Jubilee House, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE3 9FL, United Kingdom.
Note: They are unable to accept cash payments by post.
Remember, you need to make at least the minimum payment, on time, every month or you will lose any promotional rates on your account.
